Eat

For delicious vegan Mexican food, (certified kosher by the IKC) Jajaja Mexicana (119 Kent Ave). The vibe is eclectic, beachy, and spending time there feels like a mini vacation. Many dishes rival the real deal and many a meat eater has raved about the food here.

In search of incredible baked goods? Head to Martha’s Country Bakery (263 Bedford Ave), certified kosher by Tablet K. Plenty of seating and a vast menu make this the perfect spot for a sweet treat. Try the berry napoleon or one of the many cheesecakes - you can’t go wrong.

Play

Domino Park has a sprawling 6-acres situated along the East River. Walk along the waterfront for spectacular views of the bridges and NYC. In the warmer months, kiddos can enjoy the sprinklers and the playground, which pay homage to the original Domino sugar factory that operated here.

Shop

Beacon’s Closet (23 Bogart St), a treasure trove of vintage and designer items. This is their largest location and you will never leave empty handed. I've been shopping here for over 15 years and it doesn’t disappoint.

Search no further for art deco and post modern furniture-Dream Fishing Tackle (59 Norman Ave) is a real hidden gem. As the name suggests, they originally sold fishing tackle (and still do), but now they also sell those hard to find antiques as well. Be prepared to walk delicately as the shop is crowded, leaving little space to maneuver.

Explore

If you're looking to enjoy a movie while sipping on a craft beer or cocktail, Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Ave) beckons.

This WIlliamsburg staple has a full bar and a rotating selection of films. Catch an indie title or midnight cult classic.

Drink

For unparalleled views, go to Westlight, the bar at the William Vale Hotel. Situated on the 22nd floor, the glass walls offer a spectacular view of the NYC skyline. The outdoor terrace has a relaxed vibe while still feeling upscale.
